Requirements
Proven experience managing and optimizing MongoDB databases in large-scale environments.
Strong expertise in query optimization, indexing, and improving database structures.
Experience with big data systems, capable of handling millions of requests per second.
Ability to design scalable and expandable database systems for future growth.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to monitoring and addressing performance issues.
Nice to have:
PostgreSQL experience is a plus. Familiarity with backend development (Node.js), specifically for creating APIs. Experience working in an international or startup environment. Knowledge of cloud database management (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud). Exposure to other NoSQL or relational databases (e.g., Cassandra, MySQL).Responsibilities
Database Management: Ensure the performance, integrity, and security of our MongoDB databases, which support millions of requests per second.
Query Optimization: Work closely with our development team to review and optimize complex database queries, improving response times and resource efficiency.
Database Design: Recommend and implement database structures that support current operations and future scalability, focusing on big data environments.
Collaboration: Collaborate with backend developers, advising on database-related topics, including API integrations and performance bottlenecks.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor database systems, resolve any issues, and ensure the databases are prepared for large-scale traffic surges.
