Java Developer – Banking Sector (Hybrid, Bucharest) We’re looking for a skilled Java Developer to join our team in the banking industry. This role offers a hybrid setup with just 2 days per week in the Bucharest office. We’re looking for someone interested in a long-term collaboration, not just a short stop. What we offer: Flexible contract type: B2B - 33e+VAT or 3000 euro net employment Contract The chance to work on challenging, high-impact projects in the financial domain What you’ll do: Develop and deliver secure, high-performance Java applications Work across the full SDLC: requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and drive continuous improvements Provide L3 support for live systems What we’re looking for: 🔎 3–5 years of experience in software development (2+ with Java) Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate Hands-on with REST APIs, messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ), Oracle/PostgreSQL Experience with testing (JUnit, Mockito), CI/CD (GitHub, Jenkins, Gradle), containers (Docker/OpenShift) Familiar with microservices, design patterns, and cloud (AWS is a plus) Strong communicator, fast learner, and advocate for secure coding Please apply only if you are confident in addressing advanced Kafka-related questions such as: - What is an idempotent producer, and why is it important?
